Achieve full and natural brows with microblading

Microblading can create stunning, natural looking eyebrows. Whether you have naturally thinner eyebrows, or you just want to add more shape to your natural brows, microblading can be applied in a number of different ways to create the result that is most suited to your facial structure and requirements. Microblading can even add shading to create visual depth and help thinner brows look more naturally full.

Does microblading hurt?

Microblading is not as painful as you might expect! Not only will numbing gel be applied first and throughout the procedure, but the discomfort has been described as comparable to tweezing your eyebrows, as opposed to waxing them. And for semi permanent, long lasting results, there really isn’t a better option for stunning eyebrows.

Microblading helps save time and money

If you’re currently buying products like eyebrow pencils, gel and even eyebrow soaps, you’re also probably spending time on a daily basis on eyebrow grooming and shaping. Microblading offers a great alternative that is very long lasting and can help you save time and money in the long run.

How long does microblading last?

While microblading is a form of tattooing, this is different to standard tattoos as the pigment is only applied to the superficial level of skin. As a result, the pigment applied will be metabolised over time, creating a semi permanent result. The length of time that the microblading results will last will depend on your metabolism and in general a top up will be needed every 1 to 3 years to keep your brows looking great.

Who is suitable for Microblading?

Microblading is a safe and effective aesthetic procedure when implemented by a professional, trained and qualified team like us at the Skin and Wellbeing Clinic. However, it is not suitable for all skin types and circumstances including:

  • People with very sensitive skin
  • People with breakout or cystic acne around the eyebrows
  • People with very oily skin

This is because the treatment process at the moment can cause skin irritation which can make any of the above skin conditions worse. At the same time, oily skin can make the pigment in the tattoos fade faster, which means you won’t be able to enjoy the results.

In addition, pregnant clients will not be accepted for microblading. Instead you will need to wait at least 6 weeks after giving birth, and you will need to have stopped breastfeeding, before you make a microblading appointment.

Microblading is a very effective option but this should always be carried out by a trained professional. This is because microblading when implemented incorrectly can lead to scar tissue or even permanent tattooing. Here at the Skin and Wellbeing Clinic we are Preston’s leading aesthetic practitioners and our team have extensive training, experience and expertise in microblading, so we can be sure to achieve the best possible results.
