Aesthetics nurse Debbie

I completed my 3 year nurse training qualification from the University of Central Lancashire in 2012, and from there went on to work in the Operating Department as an Anaesthetic nurse practitioner, caring for patients before, during and after surgery.

During the 3 years I worked within the Operating Department I also undertook a further years study at university to gain an Anaesthetics and intra-operative department qualification, making me further qualified in this field. Feeling like a new challenge, I then moved to the Critical Care Department at a hospital with a major trauma centre status. Here I cared for a wide range of critically ill patients including major surgeries, major trauma, road traffic accidents, head injuries, sepsis to name a few. Following 2 years in the Critical Care department I secured a post within a Dermatology Department, which is where I am currently working alongside The Skin and Wellbeing Clinic.

Dermatology is an area I am passionate about, and I have since undertaken courses in Dermal fillers, Anti-wrinkle injections (known as Botox), Advanced lip Augmentation, Chemical peels, Needle therapy, and Mesotherapy. The most rewarding part of Aesthetics to me is to see people’s self-confidence lifted, whether that be an instant reaction or a longer journey. I also love building relationships with clients and seeing their personal transformations.

I have been working in elite nursing (midwifery to be precise) for many years now. I graduated from The University of Cumbria in 2016 and I have enjoyed looking after women ever since. I promise I’ll write more about myself when I’m not so busy in treatment and in the hospitals!
